During normal practice hour at sports ground at the Government High School in Talwandi village near Moga in Punjab a 15 year old boy was hit by a javelin and is now dead.
Hira was in his football practice session where at the same time were attending their javelin throw practice sessions where a javelin hit Hira in his chest and he was dead on the spot. Hira was taken to the nearby hospita, but was declared dead.
Not quite long ago, one more incident was in notice where a 23-year-old woman was killed by a hammer thrown by a national-level athlete. And now Hira’s death is one more incident adding on the limelight to show the lack of safety and precautionary measures taken on the sports grounds.
Hira came from a very poor family where his parents are hardworking labourers. Harpal Singh, Hira’s father filed a complaint so the Mehna police have registered the case under Section 304-A of the Indian Penal Code against the boy who is unidentified as of now, who used the javelin by which Hira died.
The entire team practicing at the sports ground for javelin throw didn’t speak name of any individual who threw a javelin by which Hira died in a accident.
