Waste Disposal Management has always been lacking in India which not only spoils the land but also affects air, animals, humans and our surroundings so government of India has taken a step to with with this problem by fining Rs 10,000 from people who are found littering in public places.
The National Green Tribunal has announced that any person found littering in public places will be imposed with the fine, government and other agencies also included in it. All entities will sire that all the waste and garbage are collected, transported & disposed as per Solid Waste Management Rules 2016.
It is clearly mentioned that any individual, hotel or hospitals found littering will be fined Rs 10,000 per incident. The waste is supposed to be disposed in a proper manner which is every individuals responsibility authorities said.
This order was delivered on December 2, 2016 but was announced last Thursday. The court said that wherever feasible, the waste should be made into biome thane or composted as its sources so that it is not necessary to shift the compostable waste to the waste processing plants or landfill sites.
